Breast cancer - 5-year survival

The relative survival rate of breast cancer patients, 5 years after diagnosis, all stages combined, is 91% at Saint-Luc, 5% higher than the national average.

This relative survival rate introduces a correction for age, which is a potential cause of death outside of cancer. This data should be emphasized when one considers that Saint-Luc is a university hospital that treats pathologies that are often more complex than in non-university hospitals..
