Facilities :

Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc is a general academic hospital located in Brussels, and the partner university hospital of UCLouvain (French-speaking university).

Institut Roi Albert II is the comprehensive cancer centre of the hospital. It is the largest oncology centre for adult and pediatric cancers in Brussels and the French-speaking part of Belgium.

Our clinicians are internationally recognized experts in head and neck cancer, uveal melanoma, breast cancer, digestive cancers, …

The medical oncology department has its own translational research laboratory, focusing on head and neck, colorectal, breast and skin cancers. We are physically located on the same site as many cancer research laboratories of UCLouvain (de Duve Institute, Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and others). This provides a true opportunity to attend high-level scientific seminars and foster a network with translational research specialists (ie in the field of immunology, microbiome, tumor metabolics, tumor imaging, …).

Our phase I unit has expertise in first-in-man and dose-escalation with more than 25 trials open for inclusion.

We host a weekly molecular tumor board (> 800 cases discussed in 3 years) attented by medical oncologists and cancer organ specialists of 6 other partner hospitals. Our team also contributes to the weekly national molecular tumor board, discussing patients included in national driven precision oncology trials.

We have a fully integrated EMR (Epic) with highly structured data level. We are main actors of a large research consortia dedicated to real-world data research (https://digicore-cancer.eu/), providing the opportunity to develop a collaborative real-world data driven study protocol.
