New building project : oncology and hematology excellence around the patient
The Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc are grouping their cancer and haematology activities in a new institute: the King Albert II Institute. The construction of this 20,000 m² building on the UCL campus started in early 2022.

The relative survival rate of breast cancer patients, 5 years after diagnosis, all stages combined, is 5% higher than the national average.
The observed survival rate of patients with cancer of the head and neck area (larynx, oropharynx, oral cavity and hypopharynx), 5 years after diagnosis, all stages combined, is 7% higher than the national average.
